The Loft Violin Shop Rental Agreement is subject to the terms below. The renter (the financially responsible adult 21 years of age or older) therein agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement as described.
Features of the Rental Plan:
100% of the monthly payment applies to purchase
Sizes may be exchanged as needed with no loss of equity (rental charges may vary by instrument)
The rental may be returned at any time
All monies paid will be considered as rent for time used or
All rental money may be applied to the purchase of the instrument outfit*
*Limited to the same type of instrument currently being rented (e.g. cello for cello, not cello for violin)
Rental monies accrued:
May not be applied to accessories, repairs, nor other charges
Will not be held nor applied at a later date
Repairs and maintenance are included as part of the rental program only under the following conditions:
The rental account payments must be up-to-date (i.e. the account is not in arrears)
Any repairs and maintenance needs are brought to The Loft Violin Shop
If repairs are performed elsewhere and not up to the standards of The Loft Violin Shop, the customer will be charged to correct the repair(s).
Any damage is deemed accidental and/or normal wear by The Loft Violin Shop
The Loft reserves the right to assess repair charges for intentional damage to the instruments.
Lost or stolen items are notcovered by the rental program
The Rental Agreement is exclusively between the renter listed on the Rental Agreement and The Loft Violin Shop
The Rental Agreement is not through any school nor lessons program the student may be apart of
The Rental Agreement cannot be taken on by another adult without written consent from both parties involved
The Loft Violin Shop only rents to individuals 21 years of age or older, not groups nor organizations
Shipping is available for violins, violas, and select accessories within the contiguous United States
Shipping is not available for cellos nor basses
A one time shipping charge will be added to the initial payment when beginning a new rental (varies by renter’s location)
While renting, The Loft Violin Shop will cover one way shipping costs to send an item to the renter. The renter is responsible for any shipping costs back to The Loft Violin Shop (if applicable)
The renter must return any items (if applicable) within 30 days of the new item’s arrival to the renter’s address
The renter is financially responsible for the value of any such item not received by The Loft Violin Shop within 30 days
Late Payments Policy:
Should the rent remain unpaid for 15 days after the due date, a late fee of $5.00 will be assessed in addition to the rent due.
If the account continues in arrears, a second late charge of $5.00 will be assessed at 30 days past due.
At 45 days, a third $5.00 late fee will be added, and the account will be turned over to a collections agency.
In the event the renter is referred to a collection agency, the renter will be responsible for fees up to 50% for collection as well as any and all legal and/or court fees associated with said collection.
There will be a $35.00 charge for any check returned for insufficient funds.
The Loft Violin Shop reserves the right to use any credit or debit card or bank account listed on the Rental Agreement without notification to collect charges.

Bankruptcy: In the event of bankruptcy by the renter, the rental outfit remains the sole property of The Loft Violin Shop and must be returned immediately. Any rental equity may still be used towards the purchase of an outfit as described above with any balance due in full at that time.
