JB Collin-Mezin #29
Year made: 1906 Charles Jean Baptiste Collin-Mezin was a French luthier. He was an Officier de l'Académie des Beaux Arts. He won gold and silver medals at the Paris Exhibitions in 1878, 1889, and 1900. His father, C.L. Collin, and son, Charles Collin-Mezin, Jr., were both luthiers. |

J.R. Carlisle
Year made: 1937 J.R. Carlisle was born in Kentucky, and made his first violin in 1910. In 1914, he met Rudolph Wurlitzer and made instruments in Wurlitzer's Cincinnati headquarters. Carlisle was one of the most important American makers of the 20th century. |

Kurt Widenhouse
Year made: 2013 Kurt Widenhouse earned a Degree of Luthier from The Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City. He established his own business in 1989. He has produced over 275 instruments, and has won Gold Medals from the Violin Society of America's International Competitions in 1988 and 1994. |

Year made: 2003 Miki Inokuchi began making instruments with his father, Masa Inokuchi, during his teens. He began by experimenting with the finish and varnishing of the violin before starting to carve and make instruments. Inokuchi & Son is the company he started with his father. |

Year made: 1965 Giovanni Morassi graduated from Cremona's International Violin Making School. He worked from his own workshop in Cremona from 1957 until his death. He founded the Associazione Liuteria Italiana. |
