The Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio (YPCO) is a symphony orchestra for young musicians founded in 2000. It is dedicated to providing musical enrichment to its members by promoting understanding and enjoyment of the orchestral experience. Musicians work in a collaborative atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on education and appreciation of the orchestral works being performed.YPCO provides an opportunity not only for individual musical growth, but also for establishing and developing friendships among young musicians throughout Central Ohio.YPCO performs two formal concerts during the concert season.
Audition Information: Sunday, April 28 3-6pm Overbrook Presbyterian Church Monday & Tuesday, April 29-30 6-9pm Otterbein University Monday, May 6 6-9pm Upper Arlington HS
Students entering grades 8-12 in the fall are eligible to audition for membership in the orchestra for the upcoming season. Application Form
Olentangy Summer Strings Camp
For over ten years The Olentangy Summer Strings Camp has been providing Central Ohio orchestra students with the opportunity to improve their playing skills and musical knowledge over the summer. This camp is held every year on the beautiful Otterbein University campus located in historic, Uptown Westerville. There are both day-time only and overnight camps available for violin, viola, cello, and bass students grades 4-9. Find out more!
