April 28-30, & May 6 The Youth Philharmonic of Central Ohio (YPCO) is a symphony orchestra for young musicians founded in 2000. It is dedicated to providing musical enrichment to its members by promoting understanding and enjoyment of the orchestral experience. Musicians work in a collaborative atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on education and appreciation of the orchestral works being performed.YPCO provides an opportunity not only for individual musical growth, but also for establishing and developing friendships among young musicians throughout Central Ohio.YPCO performs two formal concerts during the concert season.

OSU Morning String Summer Workshop
June 10 – 26, 2019, Day Program Mon. – Fri. • 9 AM – 12 PM The Ohio State University School of Music For students entering grades 4 – 9 with one year of experience
The Morning String Student Workshop is one of eight Youth Summer Music Programs at Ohio State. Held in the Steinbrenner Band Center at Ohio Stadium, this daily workshop offers two weeks of motivational hands-on training in technique and aural skill development, participation in chamber music ensembles, and large orchestra rehearsals in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere. While this workshop is designed to meet the needs of students from various training styles, all students should have at least one year of playing experience. Finale concert: Wed. 2019 Creative Strings Camp

Olentangy Summer Strings Camp
July 15- 19 For over ten years The Olentangy Summer Strings Camp has been providing Central Ohio orchestra students with the opportunity to improve their playing skills and musical knowledge over the summer. This camp is held every year on the beautiful Otterbein University campus located in historic, Uptown Westerville.
There are both day-time only and overnight camps available for violin, viola, cello, and bass students grades 4-9. Find out more!
